I use Google voice for typing my messages, emails & notes all the time. UNFORTUNATELY the last couple of updates have taken it backwards again, at least for me. It is not picking up my words very well at all & it capitalizes random words in the middle of a sentence. It was very familiar with my voice before the last 2 updates, now it types words that don't even sound like what I'm trying to say. I've done the troubleshooting, no chance. Try re-enabling voice input in Gboard Settings > Voice typing. To learn more about voice typing, visit goo.gle/3IYjLHD. Thanks. I like it and use it, but. lately it's been trying to second guess me. When I press the comma, I intend to see a comma. Not a period. the period key is on the opposite side of the spacebar. It's not like I got confused. And don't get me started on the suggested words at the top. I've sometimes had to spell out the whole word before I get what I want. And if I do, what's the point of suggesting it? IMHO the best keyboard app. Text prediction is amazing. Voice dictation is tops, even in noisy environments. Emoji, GIF, and image insertion are a breeze.
