Today, I'm sharing a hidden gem with you—Bekasi, Indonesia! This city boasts a rich cultural heritage and unique natural scenery. It's also super affordable, making it a must-see destination on your travel list📍 This guide is packed with useful tips, so like and save it now! Attractions 1. Ragunan Zoo: This is an animal paradise, home to over 3,000 animals, including rare species like Komodo dragons and Javan tigers🐅 The zoo is beautifully landscaped with lush greenery, making you feel like you're in an animal kingdom. Not only can you observe animals up close, but you can also participate in some interactive activities. It's perfect for families and animal lovers. 2. Bachachalang Mosque: This mosque has a unique architectural style, blending modern and traditional elements. Its white exterior shines brightly in the sunlight. Step inside to experience the tranquility and solemnity, and learn about Islamic culture and history. The mosque's exquisite decorations, wall patterns, and chandeliers are all very artistic, making it a great spot for taking photos. 3. Sukarno's Residence: If you want to learn about Indonesian history, this is a must-visit! Many items and documents from Sukarno's era are preserved here📜 By visiting his residence, you can gain a deeper understanding of the Indonesian independence movement and President Sukarno's life story. It's a place full of historical significance. Food Recommendations 1. Satay: Indonesia's national dish, satay, also has a unique flavor in Bekasi. Tender skewers of meat are grilled over charcoal until golden and crispy, then served with a rich peanut sauce. One bite, and you'll be in foodie heaven! Satay stalls are everywhere, and they're very affordable, so don't miss out. 2. Indonesian Fried Rice: This seemingly ordinary fried rice has a unique taste. The rice grains are distinct, and it's packed with ingredients like chicken, shrimp, eggs, and vegetables. Topped with a special sauce, every bite is full of flavor, making it an unforgettable dish. 3. Javanese Cake: This traditional Indonesian dessert is soft, glutinous, and sweet but not greasy. Made from glutinous rice, coconut milk, and sugar, it's sprinkled with coconut flakes, giving it a rich tropical flavor. It's the perfect choice for an after-dinner treat. Itinerary Day 1: Arrive in Bekasi → Check in to hotel → Enjoy local cuisine Upon arrival in Bekasi, check in to your hotel and drop off your luggage. Then, head to a nearby restaurant to sample the local cuisine. I recommend satay and Indonesian fried rice to kick off your Indonesian culinary journey. Day 2: Ragunan Zoo → Bachachalang Mosque In the morning, visit Ragunan Zoo and get up close and personal with adorable animals. When you're tired of walking, have a meal at the zoo's restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Bachachalang Mosque and experience the charm and cultural atmosphere of this religious building. Day 3: Sukarno's Residence → Free shopping → Prepare for departure In the morning, visit Sukarno's Residence and learn about Indonesian history. In the afternoon, you can visit the local market to buy some unique souvenirs. Then, pack your bags and prepare for your departure, concluding your pleasant trip to Bekasi. Transportation Guide ✈️ You can fly to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, then take a taxi, ride-hailing service, or bus to Bekasi. The journey takes about 1–2 hours. 🚗 To get around Bekasi, you can take a taxi, rent a motorbike, or use local public transportation, such as the minibus (angkot). Angkots are cheap but can be crowded. Accommodation Suggestions 🏨 You can choose to stay in the city center, which offers convenient transportation and a full range of amenities at reasonable prices. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the service is excellent. If you want to experience local life, you can also choose a unique homestay with a cozy atmosphere and a strong sense of Indonesian life. Things to Note 1. Indonesia is a religious country, so dress respectfully when visiting religious sites like mosques. Women should wear a headscarf, and men should wear long pants. 2. The local climate is hot, so take precautions against sun and mosquito bites. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and mosquito repellent. 3. When eating at street stalls or small restaurants, pay attention to food hygiene to avoid stomach upset from unclean food. VERA BLAKE  14 Suatu Waktu Coffee - Bekasi If the afternoon is clear, the view is definitely more interesting. Sunset a.k.a sunset and terraced rice fields accompany coffee syahdu before dusk at Suatu Waktu Coffee Bekasi. Not suddenly, I also drank coffee in Bekasi, this part of the district, coincidentally, I ran out of business. Not to mention the month ending in -ber which is synonymous with the rainy season. About 4 months ago, even during the day, rainwater was pouring down around here and also at Tambun Station, where I was transiting. So unfortunately there are parts of the rice fields that are submerged in standing water. However, the wetness of the streets did not prevent people from enjoying their afternoon at the Saat Coffee, not only young people but also a group of women. Because I only stopped by for a moment, I ordered Japanese iced coffee. The barista is friendly and successful in making delicious drinks. #foodie#awesomepic#coffee okedehoke502  4 Net Cafe and Resto @natcafe.resto this. The place is quite spacious, but it's a bit inside because it's joined to the multi-purpose building area. Because it is a bit inside so there is no road noise, the parking lot is also spacious and safe. @natcafe.resto consists of 2 floors, there is a 1st floor for indoor & semi outdoor, 2nd floor is full semi outdoor and there is space for live music too. The concept is quite homey and the ambiance is also comfortable. For those looking for live music, it's regular here from Friday - Sunday. The highlight of this place is definitely the 2nd floor because it is very spacious and the view is also good with lots of trees. The menu is also varied because this is a cafe & restaurant. I tried the new Sei Rice Bowl menu with a choice of 4 chili sauces, namely Luat, Ijo, Roa and Kecombrang. The portion is just right to fill you up, the meat is a lot + juicy too. The price is also affordable, only 29k+. #cafe bundabersin  10 [Indonesia] A cafe with delicious bread kalinggacoffee - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✈︎ ▶︎This is the place A cafe a little way off the busy street. They have a variety of coffees, so it's a recommended shop for coffee lovers. There are also many other breads lined up in the showcase 🥐 They all look delicious, and they seem to have light meals too, so next time I'll go when I'm a little hungry. ▶︎What I ordered Nutella chocolate croissant Rp.27,000 Matcha milk Rp.38,000 ▶︎I liked it... The staff asked me if I was Japanese, and called someone who spoke English, so I was able to order properly. Everyone was so kind, and they gave me napkins when I was eating with my hands, and it made me feel warm. I'll go again. ▶︎Access Around the center of Bekasi #Indonesia #Indonesia trip #cafe #Asia trip #overseas trip しおんの旅  3 SIMETRI COFFEE ROASTER BEKASI Welcome to Bekasi Symmetry! This coffee shop from Semarang, is back again expanding to the Bekasi area, it's located in Summarecon, right. Because it's not on the main road, it's not noisy with passing vehicles. The coffee shop is big and very spacious! Parking is also spacious. The highlight spot is definitely the outdoor part towards the lake, the best view is indeed and the ambience is supportive. In addition, there are 2 floors here, the 1st floor for the bar area and indoor non-smoking while on the 2nd floor for the smoking area. I'm here to order manual brew and have lunch with gyutan don. The manual brew uses v60 and I ordered Japanese, it tastes really good! Fruity and clean after taste. For gyutan don, the portion is quite large, the meat is not stingy and the taste is sweeter, plus the scrambled eggs are made creamy, so it's really delicious🥺 Everything is delicious plus the ambience and facilities are worth the price. #café #urbanexplorer ncu bongkok  28 Popular Travel Topics in Bekasi City Guides 180 posts  Hotels 155 posts  Flower viewing 110 posts  NARA COFFEE JATIBENING BEKASI Nara Coffee, one of the coffeeshops in Bekasi that is not very comfortable. Located in Easton Jatibening, this coffeeshop looks small from the outside. But after entering the coffeeshop, the shape is elongated. There is an outdoor area filled with greenery which is very fresh when you are sick. I also just found out that Nara Coffee has floors 2 and 3 which are used as private rooms that are designed to last
